Brief History
of the Institution
This School is a top most educational institution among
the institutions run under the supervision of Khalsa
College Governing Council, Amritsar. Considering the need
of the hour and to impart education to women particularly
belonging to socially weaker sections, this school was established
during 1930 as a primary achool under the able guindance of
Bhai Sahib Bhai Jodh Singh. This school was upgraded to Middle
during 1941 and subsequent to High during 1960. In the begining,
the Principal of Khalsa College was a president of the School.
During 1967, the School has adopted Grants-in-Aid Scheme of
Delhi Pattern under which School gets 95% grants from Punjab
Government. From 1 April, 1968, this school has governed under
Khalsa College Managing Committee.

Highlights of the institution
a) Hundred percent results are achieved of Board classes
every year.
b) School won first position in the state level competition
of " Gatka " conducted by Punjab School Education
Board.
c) Students participated in the National Level play of Soft
Ball, Volley Ball and Gymnastics.
d) Students won scholarships in religious competitions held
under the supervision of SGPC.
e)+1 (Humanities Group) being introduced in the school from
academic session 2004-2005
