Brief History
of the Institution
The Khalsa College Public School is being run by the Khalsa
College Society Regd. Under the Registration of Society Act
No. 21 of 1860. Society is a reputed body corporate and has
completed one century in 1992. Khalsa College Public School
was founded in April 1984. Within this short span of time,the
school has achieved great distinction in all respects. The
Khalsa College Public School is situated on the G. T. Road
between Khalsa College and Guru Nanak University, Amritsar.
The School has its huge building displaying a unique type
of modem architecture consisting of 50 class-rooms and many
activities rooms. In a short span of time, The school has
progressed by leaps and bounds, the recent additions include
Sir Sunder Singh Majithia Hall (2000). Sbz Fateh Singh Park
(2000), Recreation Resort (2000), Virasat Ghar (2000), Basket
Ball Court (1999), School Bus (1999). Tuck shop, Book shop
(1998), T. V. Room (1998), Library (1997), Three well equipped
Science Laboratories and Computer Lab. (1995) and administration
Block (1994). At present the School has 50 fully furnished
airy and spacious classrooms. Seven spacious playgrounds for
Hockey, FootBall, Volley Ball, Cricket, Kho-Kho, LawnTennis
and Basket Ball and gymnasium are visible at the first glance.
Expanding over 15 acres of land with lush green trees the
sprawing and magnificent building of the Khalsa College Public
School gives an impression of a Palace.

Aims and Objectives
Khalsa College Public School is a blend of
modern education system and spiritually oriented curriculum.
The main objectives of the school are to enlighten the society
and the youth about their glorious past, the great moral values,
the rich religious traditions, the lofty customs, the rich
culture and heritage. The aim of the school is to channelise
the energy of clild towards creativity so that he or she may
be capable of fighting the challenges of the 21st Century
as a modem youth of the Global world. The basic philosophy
of the school is “Never stay behind to do good deeds“ and
to shape the society with brotherhood of mankind and fatherhood
of God. So more and more emphasis is given on overall personality
development and character building of the child.
