Welcome to Khalsa College, one of the most prestigious institutes of higher learning. This historic college was established in 1892 with the noble objective to eradicate illiteracy, ignorance and pernicious social evils through the spread of enlightened, progressive and value oriented education. In this eventful journey of 118 years, the college has taken progressive initiatives to mature into a vibrant centre of excellence.

       We believe that education is not just about earning degrees and certificates. So, at Khalsa College, we go beyond the confines of classrooms and established curricula to unlock the hidden potential of each student. The emphasis is on the cultivation of analytical mind and scientific temper along with the concomitant imparting of moral values that equip the students to combat whatever challenges they encounter. The college is committed to provide job oriented quality education through the use of latest course designs, innovative techniques and smart teaching practices. Khalsa College offers a healthy blend of academics, sports, arts and personality development curriculum nurtured by our dynamic and visionary management assisted by the dedicated faculty. Added features are an architecturally wonderful and spacious campus, high- tech laboratories, a rich library, gymnasium and hostels with best available facilities. All these combine to make learning a pleasant and rewarding experience.

      Our college believes in moving ahead with changing needs of the time. Over the years our thrust hasbeen on introducing value based courses with global outlook. From this session, much in demandsubjects like Psychology and Geography will be available to B.A. students. Visualizing the new role ofmedia as an instrument of social change we have applied for Bachelors in Journalism and MassCommunication and P.G. Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. We are grateful to UGC,Department of Biotech, Govt. of India, for financial assistance amounting to Rs. 2.5 crore under the 'Star Status', 'College with Potential For Excellence', 'FIST' Scheme' that has helped us to upgrade the laboratories and strengthen the infrastructure.

      By offering a multitude of courses the college hopes to empower 'Young India' by preparing

students not just for a lucrative career but also to face the myriad challenges of life. Equal stress is on moral values that develop the humane side of personality and a sense of social responsibility.

      The visit of Mr. Justice Swatanter Kumar, Learned Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Mr. Justice Hemant Gupta, Learned Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, His Highness Sh. Shivraj Patil, Governor Punjab, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy C.M., Punjab, and other distinguished dignitaries to the college has proved to be a source of great inspiration both for the faculty and students.
